Hot Rocksteady tunes from the London based label, Peckings Records, followed by The Delegators, an original band playing early reggae with hints of Motown soul. Amy Winehouse had a thing for ska and that’s for sure ! A single out of Prince Fatty’s ‘Return Of Gringo’, in which ska and surf meet spaghetti western in the tradition of maestro Ennio Morricone. 2 Tek and King Brillo give us two brilliant ska out of ‘The King Brillo Sounds Part 1 & 2′. After 5 years of monarchy with Nicolas Sarkozy, who managed to bring down the 5th republic, destroy France’s influence and credibility in the rest of the world, and install a climate of fear in his own country, it has became essential for everyone to VOTE FOR A CHANGE. Yes you heard that before (‘since 54’ as legendary Studio One artist Carlton Livingston would rhyme) but it’s really important that France may know what it is and that abstention may be as low as possible. Don’t believe the press who says that leftists extremists are refusing reality, it’s a lie: as a famous poet once said, “Reality is a viewpoint”, so don’t let anyone impose his vision of reality on top of your own. The majority of French people wants to get rid of the wannabee George Bush who’s been running the show for the last 5 years. François Hollande’s Socialist Party is a center-right one as much as François Bayrou’s Modem, though he might be the best chance to beat the current midget king - those who watch Game of Thrones will get the pun. Jean-Luc Mélenchon and its Left Front Coalition has been the most dynamic figure in an otherwise dull campaign. But don’t even let all those influence your vote. Try voting with your heart and not with tactics in mind. Well, don’t <i>try voting</i>. Just fucking vote.
